super glue, i use it all the time, you need a steady hand, and only use a tiny bit.
Staple it back together.


Then put some selotape on to secure it.
you really really need superglue!! That and a bit of tissue or tea bag paper laid across the split area will hold it for a while.





I tore one half off last week - way below the quick - and its still there with the help of a bit of tea bag!!
