What's the best way to apply nail polish so it will last?

alot of layers of nail polishWhat's the best way to apply nail polish so it will last?
i always found the cheap polish at the chemist is best, although they often contain toluene.

Also, rough your nails up a little first, like how they do before you get gels put on. dont polish them up shiney. if they are a little rough, it gives the polish more to stick to.

Also, try to strengthen your nails, as they could bend, but the polish wont and will cause peeling or chips. What's the best way to apply nail polish so it will last?
1. Even if you are not already wearing nail polish, clean your nails with remover. It will remove oils and lotion that would make the polish not stick well.

2. Apply two THIN coats of nailpolish. OPI is a good brand.

3.Follow up with a good top coat.

The nail polish I'm wearing was applied on Wednesday and I have not one chip even though I';ve been working on a paper and typing for 3 days straight.

base coat color then top coat

and do plenty color and top coats.

Also NIc sticks are good for chipping

there a portable nail polish thats small and you just pump thhe polish ouot so you can be at lunch outside and take it out of purse and fix ur nails there
Wash your hands first to get oil off your nails. Apply a base coat, then two coats of your polish, then one coat of clear top coat. Reapply the top coat every two days. Try not to soak your fingers in hot water for too long, it makes polish peel.
ok first you put on a base coat that will make it stay longer then paint the color on once or twice and but a top coat on they will make it shiny then if you want them to dry fast get a spray idk what it is called but it gets dry faster then wait for it to dry and your done
Heres the best way to apply the right ammount without having too much or too little:

1. soak fingers and/or toes

2. Apply your color

3. Apply a second coat of your color

4. Apply a top coat

:D Hope that helps

my brother taught me how.he has his own nail salon with his wife.

so first you put on a base coat then put two coats of the colored nail polish then you put on top coat.also let each coat dry then put on the next coat
buff the top of your nail, the base coat, polish and top coat the next day. give enough time for each layer you add to dry or is gonna be a soggy mess

im a nail tech. you should always do a total of 4 layers. 1.Base coat,2.color 3.color 4.top coat
apply like always for first coat. then go side to side on the tips so they cont chip. lastly, apply top coat finish in clear.
put on two coats and then when the second coat dries fill the bathroom sink with cold water and hen dunk your hands in for a few seconds and let them air dry! it always works for me!
Apply a clear protective overcoat on top.
Try double-coating it and then doing a clear protective coat at the end. Good luck and hope this helped.
put a clear coat of some fast-drying nail polish. it helps polish stay on for a lot longer than without it
clear base coat then double coat with the real color than final coat w// clear. 4 coats.
base coat, polish, topcoat.
