My dog broke her nail and it is twisted to the side and digging in the thing under the cracked part wat 2 do??

does anyone have suggestions to control her to try to get the nail off she is a rather big dog Rotweiler and pitbull ?? please help !!My dog broke her nail and it is twisted to the side and digging in the thing under the cracked part wat 2 do??

try to take the nail off. if she starts to squeal, limp, or walk funny on the paw that has the broken nail you should take her to the vet
yep i 100% agree with rescue member thats right the paw is a very sensitive place and when it is open it can easily get infected it is very painful for the dog. poor puppy .All the best.
Try taking her to either the vet or a place like PetSmart that has groomers- they will cut it off for you which is probably the safest.
You could take him to the vet or take your dog for a LONG walk and then once he is exhausted and can't put up a fight SNIP thats you cue, but try to make it fast so you don't stress your poor little puppy out to much!! Good luck!
Happened to my dog, very painful for the dog which is why she is resisting you.





Take her to the vet to get the nail clipped off - it could get infected if you don't. May have to be bandaged, my dog's paw was.
She may resist, but you HAVE to get her to a vet soon. They know how to handle this and they'll remove the nail with the least pain possible.
This is rather painful for the dog this is why she is fighting with you not to touch it. The best advise anyone can give you is just to take her to the vet to get this clipped. It would not cost alot and they are trained to handle dogs of that size in this situation.
