What will happen to my nail- it bent all the way back...?

I accidentally jabbed my thumb nail into our stair bannister. OUCH :( Now I actually had to bend the nail back down- and there is a crease below where you'd normally cut your nails if they were short (from where it bent). It is throbbing, and bled some. I put a bandaid on as tight as I could. It hurts BAD. :( Anyways, will the nail fall off entirely, or from that line where it bent? Or not at all? What will happen to my nail- it bent all the way back...?
no it won't fall off, despite the excruciating pain. the nail is weak now in that area so be careful with it. try to keep cutting it down until its fully grown out. it will grow out normally. when you damage a nail in the nail bed, it usually grows back normal, but there are some occasions where you damage your matrix(the mother of the nail) which is a little above the cuticle. anyway, your okay! What will happen to my nail- it bent all the way back...?
maybe
hurt like a mother
um...bend it back....
You should probably cut it from where it bent. I know its gonna hurt, but you need to get that piece of nail off and bandage your exposed cuticle until it toughens up a bit. Keep it clean and your nail will grow back before you know it.
the whole nail will not fall off, but once you take the bandaid off, your nail will probably be weak. i suggest cutting off your nail where at the crease. it is probably going to break off anyway. cutting it might save some time and pain.
Some at my school did too --%26gt; I bet she deserves that because she's really mean. The line where you bent it will turn white. And it'll curl (ew if it sounds). You really wouldn't have if your nails were a bit shorter.

Happy nail cutting! Hope my advice helped ( Yeah I know, nail cutting is not happy. I don't like cutting --%26gt; it's a job that's gotta be done)! One more thing.....ARE YOU OKAY? YOU SAID OUCH.
nothing
