What is the best way of running wire along the skirting board. dont want to nail it?

Plastic ducting, comes in a few colours. What is the best way of running wire along the skirting board. dont want to nail it?
Stick it underneath if you have a carpet. Use a tongue depresser or ice cream stick to push it. If you are in an apartment, have hard floors, and want to make sure you get your deposit back from a cranky landlord, you can use those christmas light clips that have the removeable tag on the back that you just stretch and it comes back off. Look in the christmas light section of any department store or hardware store. What is the best way of running wire along the skirting board. dont want to nail it?
put it behind it,
You need to put it into plastic conduit or ducting - this can be done neatly so as to be unobtrusive.
Have a look at these....

Homebase stock 'Command'
The best way is to put it behind the baseboard; there is usually some space along the bottom that is perfect for wire (like speaker wire). If you don't want to go through the trouble of removing the baseboard, there is a product available at home improvement places that is a channel for wire. It's paintable (comes as white), is quite small and unobtrusive and uses light adhesive. Really doens't look that bad; certainly better than bare wires running along the wall and a lot less effort than removing the baseboard.
most skirting is fitted slightly above the floor surface

if the cable is not too thick try using a 'bolster' chisel or something flat but not sharp and push the wire under the skirting with the carpet
If the wire is not too thick, try laying the wire along the top of the skirting board, and carefully run a bead of a silicone-based sealant along the wire, smoothing the surface neat with a wet finger. The sealants come in a variety of colours, and can be pulled out again in the future without damage to wire or walls.
If you don't want to use trunking which I think is too bulky, or you can't put the wire behind it, or you don't want to use a hot glue gun which would probably be the best and least intrusive. Use a product like 'No-Nails', this takes longer to dry than a hot glue gun, but if you have the patience, do it in small stretches a bit at a time, holding the wire in place until it dries with tape or tacks which can be removed later.
You could use cable trunking, which fits to the skirting board with double sided tape.then put your cable inside it.Available in B%26amp;Q
I think you can buy u shaped plastic strips of various widths to cover wires (called trunking) or use nail clips - at least then you can change it.
hot glue gun
I think plenty of others have answered your question, BUT, here's another option........ drill through the external wall and run your cable outside the house then bring it back through at the point you need it.

Obviously you would have to run it neatly on the outside but this could be a solution
Unfortunately, you can't get away without using nails. But according to how thick the wire is, use the specific wire clips, avaiable in various sizes, from any good hardware shop (small nail enclosed in a plactic half moon shape) and run it as close as possible to the carpet or floor laminate on the bottom edge of the skirting baord. This should do the job. And, if like me, you have a horrible thick black cable that needs fixing (Sky or cable TV) - easy peasy solution is to paint the wire and the clips the same colour as the skirting board. It's not as noticable then.
In compliance with the Electric Code is the best way.
I would have suggested heavy duty stapling gun, its quick, effective cheap. One other way if there are carpets, just lift and insert, no problem
