Ladies, have you used an ovulation test, and if so did you nail it?

I want to use it for the first time this month,so that hubby and I can conceive effortlessly. It's been 6 years and no baby(not that we've been tryin, just haven't prevented preganacy in those last 6 years)I never used contraceptives of any kind. If all else fails,we will seek a doctor.Ladies, have you used an ovulation test, and if so did you nail it?
Hi! Yes, I have used alot of ovulation tests. It can take a little time to interpret them correctly. Because, unlike pregnancy tests, on the ovulation test the test line must be as dark or darker than the control line to be considered positive. I have read a ton of books about fertility and ovulation detection. The best one that I found is an ebook written by a past fertility patient. It is a great book packed full of information. I put the link down below in the Sources section if you are interested in reading it. It is even Free! Good Luck in achieving pregnancy! It can be a rough road sometimes, but it is all worth it eventually!Ladies, have you used an ovulation test, and if so did you nail it?
I don't remember the brand of ovulation test I used, since it was almost 8 years ago. My husband and I also did not actually try, but never prevented it either. That is not a good thing! I would recommend physicals, especially for you. This could be a sign of PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome) for you, or it could just be a simple timing issue. Adoption is always a wonderful alternative and that is coming from an adoptive mom of 2 (through the foster care system, not the expensive overseas adoptions.) Best of Luck!
I bought the test, read it, waited exactly 14 days after my period, took 1 of the 7 tests it came with, and the test indicated that I was ripe. That is the night I got pregnant. It was too easy, and honestly I am baffled how easy it was. I have 6 leftover tests.
I have used the clear blue digital one. My husband and I have been trying for seven years now. We went to see a infertility doctor and went through different treatments, but nothing worked. My husband and I have decided to adopt and hope and pray maybe we will one day conceive. We also never used anything to prevent it. good luck and I will be praying for you.
Yes, I've used an ovulation test. They are pretty accurate! I've heard that some women's bodies don't put out enough hormones for some ovulation tests to work correctly for them. It was so long ago, I don't remember the name of the one I used. There were I think 6 tests in one box. The box was kind of purplish/mauve color. They sold them at the grocery store (Jewel/Osco). I've seen them at other stores too.

I would suggest you get the book ';Taking Charge of Your Own Fertility'; by Toni Weschler. That is a VERY good book. It explains what symptoms and signs your body gives you when you are about to ovulate. VERY GOOD BOOK! It definitely helped me! I read the whole book in 1 1/2 days! :-) Very informative. I would definitely suggest getting this book. It also explains about timing things right, how long sperm live, things like that also. I wish you luck!
I have tried them for the past 2 months and nothing yet.
