How do you clean your nail, so it is not dirty underneath?

I try to stay clean; but recently have been noticing that dirt gets caught under my nails, and it is difficult to keep them 100% clean.. Is there a certain way to effectively clean them, or a better way than to just wash your hands? How do you clean your nail, so it is not dirty underneath?
I use a nail brush. They scrub under your nails and it works really well. Also, try soaking your nails in denture cleaner. It sounds weird but it will remove any stains on your nails. How do you clean your nail, so it is not dirty underneath?
a nailbrush, soap.. water, and an orange stick.
You can use a nail brush for washing under your nails but if you don't have one on hand, a metal nail file, or orange stick, will do the trick.
get a nail scrubber
Nail scrubbbers or clip em.
buy a nail brush and scrub under your nails with soap and water.
Try using a brush with soft bristels made for nails to brush of the dirt.Try keeping your nails short then but don't bite them. The dirt will get into your mouth.Ok,that is so gross.I'll stop that.Hope the website below works.

keep your nails trimmed short and use a nail brush....a pointed metal file will also get those nasties out from underneath....lemon juice also keeps the nails looking good and gets rid of stains....
The easiest way is just to massage your head with your nails as you wash your hair. Lather up the shampoo and as you scrub, it'll also clean under your fingernails. Sure, you could get a nail brush, but it's a bit of a hassle and you wash your hair regularly anyway...
what i do is get a toothpick and scrape the dirt out from underneath...seriously it works!
you would have to scrape it off with nail clippers, or your teeth works too
use an old toothbrush and lots of soap
try getting a nail brush and scrubbing them with a little soap or sometimes I take a q-tip with soapy water and clean under them
Use a nail brush while you're washing your hands.
Well, usually there's a nail cleaner, a metal object that goes underneath the nail, in your nail clippers. If not, you could always buy one. If that doesn't get it all, you could always get a nail brush and scrub it out with soap and water. The brush will get it guaranteed. Good Luck!
manicure kits usually have a tool with a hook like end that allows you to sweep underneath your nails. This piece is also sold separately in drugstores. you can also try taking a old tooth brush or nail brush and scrubbing your nails from the underside. good luck,
On most finger nail clippers there is a little thing on it that lets you scrape under the nail.
invest in a nail filer... it's very inexpensive and you can use it to clean the bottom of your nails
it usually comes out in the shower, but u have to shower daily!
you can roll the end of an orange wood stick,(which is a wooden stick bought in the nail care section), on a piece of wet cotton, then swipe that under your nails!!!!
Three things to try:

1) buy a good mechanics hand cleaner.

2) buy a nail brush and use it each time you wash your hands.

3) buy a metal nail file with a pointed end to scrape the dirt out.

buy a nail brush - you can find them in any drug store near the nail polish. It's a hand held brush specifically used for washing under your nails. Works great!
I usually just wash some dishes, by the time im done, my nails are spotless! 2 for the price of one!
Use liquid hand soap and a nail brush from the beauty supply or drug store. Soaking your hands in warm sudsy water should help. Wear gloves if you do any heavy duty cleaning or gardening or painting.
