When you pick a nail and it starts tearing downwards?

Isn't that just so painful when you are pulling off a bit of long nail and it starts tearing downwards and you cant pull any further as its agony. ooooo I have that nowWhen you pick a nail and it starts tearing downwards?
clip the hangnail at the root and ignore it...if you don't pick it in the first place and ignore it then it will die off on its own. to avoid hangnails rub cuticle oil into your nail area daily. When you pick a nail and it starts tearing downwards?
If it's too painful to clip now, put a bandage on it to protect it for a couple of days, and then clip it.

They invariably tear downwards. Best to wait on them until you can get scissors or a clipper.
Ouch! I hate it when that happens.

You should just clip it off as low as you can and leave it alone.
Either your nails are dry, or you're filing them back and forth instead of from one side to the other.
Oh yes and it hurts for days cut it off and dont pull it any further
Poor you :( I hate it when that happens! I only have on piece of advice...Don't pick them silly!
