How long does it take for a nail to rust in water?

like in lake water, salt water, tap water, and bottled water.How long does it take for a nail to rust in water?
i left a bucket of nails out over night and it rained , the bucket had about two inches of water in it.....the submerged nails where already starting to rust.....it rained at around 10 pm and i emptied the bucket at 7 amHow long does it take for a nail to rust in water?
approximately 6 and a half days
few hours if its salt water....
it takes 4-5 days in bottled water because its clean.. in tap water it takes 2-3 days.. because its clean but slightly dirty..and lake water it can rust realyl easily because lake water has soo many dirty chemicals in it that it can rust in less then 24 hours.. try it.. i did.. it works..
