Is it ok to buy nail polish from the Dollar store?

Is it ok to buy nail polish from the Dollar store? I only need it for one day (Halloween). Is it safe to apply on my fingers? I might be eating with my fingers, will the nail polish come off?Is it ok to buy nail polish from the Dollar store?
Yes it will be fine, it might not last as long...and may be more prone to staining your natural nails so make sure you use a base coat first. Its not likely to poison you, cheap stuff still has to conform to the same safety standards that the expensive stuff does..and you never know it might be long lasting on you. I can't, for some reason, use OPI, (i'm also adverse to its price!!!) it peels off my nails in hours but I have no problem with some of the cheapo brands.Is it ok to buy nail polish from the Dollar store?
it may not be the healthiest kind for your nails, or the best quality, but it has to be just as safe as any other sold in another store. just becuase it is a dollar store doesnt mean they dont follow the consumer guidelines like everyone else.
Nail polish is nail polish regardless of where you purchase it. If you aren't too concerned with the quality of the nail polish and since it is only one night, it wouldn't hurt.


Use a top coat to prevent the nail polish from flaking or peeling off.
I would think so. But considering that you are buying it from the dollar store it might not have as great of products and chemicals in it as it would if you bought it somewhere else. Therefore, it may not work as well.
it is cheap and ruins your nails so it you want it to last a bit longer base coat and top coat by OPI $12 but it is cheaper then buying one then the other

l0l i do...i dont know if it is good 4 your nails but its cheep and look good. And if your woried its bad for your nails do a bottom coat of good quality clear nail polish and the dollar store stuff on top.

the nail polish might come off[so just apply like 5 coats]

you get what you pay for. better be safe then sorry. dont do it.
